This week, I’m on Maui – enjoying sunrise runs, afternoon kite surfing sessions, the company of my partner and his mom, and the aloha spirit.

It is a practice of being in the moment, and I’m unplugging for the most part – at least from social media. It is a lesson in letting go, in being present, in noticing the visceral cravings I experience throughout the day.
Writing is one of those cravings. As is running. Being in the water. Slowing down but not doing nothing.
I’m sure I’ll have a lot more to say next week, when I reflect on the trip from my home den. For now, though, it’s nice to have this practice. To have my brain slow down.
Aloha.
